Three grades, and how to pick
Same factory, same QC, same hair. The difference is how much hair is still there at the ends after a year of wear.
Entry
Double Drawn
Consistent through the mid-length and thinning naturally toward the ends, the way one head of hair does. The volume grade.
- Consistent thickness through the mid-length
- Best value per 100 g
- The volume grade for stock you resell
Best for: Stock you resell at volume and price-sensitive clients.
Standard
Super Double Drawn
What our distributors reorder most. Noticeably thicker at the ends, so the install still looks full at month six.
- Noticeably thicker at the ends
- Holds colour and shape longer
- The safest default for a new client
Best for: The standard salon install and reliable resale stock.
Premium
Super Premium
The thickest ends we produce. Built for hair that will be lifted, heat-styled or worn long term.
- Thickest ends we produce
- Survives lifting and heavy styling
- First choice for colour work
Best for: Colour work, premium clients and long lengths.
Not sure? Order one of Super Double Drawn and one of Super Premium in the same length and let your stylist feel the ends before you commit a full order.
Is this the right product for you?

- You braid, twist or loc and need loose hair with no weft in the way
- You want human hair that takes heat without melting like synthetic
- Your clients keep the style in for weeks and the hair has to survive takedown
- You buy by weight and want the same grade on every reorder
Order something else if
- You install wefts, order weft hair extensions instead
- You need strand-by-strand fittings, order keratin tip or nano ring
- You want a ready-to-wear unit, order a wig
Buying from Govihair vs buying from a trading company
Most suppliers you meet online do not own a factory, they forward your order to one. Here is what changes when you buy from the people who actually collect, make and QC the hair.
| What you are checking | Govihair | A trading company |
|---|---|---|
| Who you deal with | Our own sales team and our own factory in Da Nang | A middleman who forwards your order and marks it up |
| Where the hair comes from | Our collection network in northern and central Vietnam, cut from the donor | Whatever the workshop had in stock that week |
| Grade on the label | Double Drawn, Super Double Drawn or Super Premium, stated on every order | Vague wording that changes between batches |
| QC evidence | Video of the scrape, cuticle and elasticity checks on our own floor | Stock photos |
| Colour honesty | We tell you when a shade needs raw donor hair and when it cannot be lifted at all | Promises any colour on any hair |
| Weight policy | Weighed after washing and drying, ties weighed separately | Weighed wet or with the tie included |
| If an order is short | Photograph your scale and we replace the shortfall, no argument | Disputed, or you pay the difference |
| If the sample is wrong | We pay the return freight and replace or refund | Return freight is yours |
| Freight | Quoted to your exact city by DHL, UPS or FedEx, tracked door to door | A zone estimate that changes at checkout |
| Customs paperwork | Invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, phyto or fumigation where required | You find out what is missing at your port |
| Reorder | Same specification, same grade, matched to your last order | A different batch every time |
Colour: what we can do, and what nobody can
This is where most suppliers overpromise and where your client notices first. Colour options depend on the hair type, not on how much you pay.
| You want | What actually happens | Order it as |
|---|---|---|
| Natural black and dark brown | The donor colour, untouched. The most durable option and the base for everything else. | Natural colour |
| Dark shades | Dyed, not lifted. They hold well, but they cannot be brought back up to blonde later. | Dark colour |
| Light and neutral shades | A controlled lift on virgin hair. Predictable, and the right choice for most salon colour work. | Light colour |
| Blonde, 613, platinum, silver | A heavy lift that only raw donor hair survives without breaking down. We test the lift before shipping. | Raw donor hair for bleaching |
What we will not tell you: that dark hair bleaches to 613. If a supplier offers you dark hair and promises a clean platinum lift, that hair was dyed dark over lighter hair and it will break on the second pass. At 32 inch we make natural and dark shades only.

Curly Bulk Human Hair for Braiding - wholesale FAQ
Natural curl or steam-set, which should I buy?
Natural curl is the donor own pattern: it varies between bundles and it comes back after every wash, but it will never be identical across twenty bundles. Steam-set curl is uniform across a whole order and looks perfect on arrival, but it relaxes over time. Uniformity or permanence, pick the one your clients care about and we will supply it.
Does the curl drop after washing?
Natural curl relaxes slightly and springs back. Steam-set curl loosens progressively with each wash and will not return to the original pattern. Anyone selling you a permanent steam-set curl is describing something that does not exist.
Can curly bulk hair be straightened?
Yes, it is human hair. A natural curl returns after a wash; a steam-set curl may not fully return once it has been flat-ironed.
What is the minimum order?
500 g per order, which you can split across lengths, textures and colours however you like. Wholesale pricing is sent on request once we know specification and destination.
Which grade should I order?
Double Drawn is the volume grade for stock you resell. Super Double Drawn is what most of our distributors reorder and the safest default. Super Premium has the thickest ends and is the first choice when the hair will be lifted or heavily styled. Order one of each in the same length and let your stylist feel the difference.
Can I lift it to 613 or platinum?
Only on raw donor hair, and we test the lift on the batch before we ship. Virgin hair goes to light and neutral shades reliably, but not to every blonde. Dark shades are dyed rather than lifted, so they do not come back up. We will tell you which of the three your order needs before you pay.
How do I know the weight is honest?
Everything is weighed after washing and drying, not before, and ties are weighed separately. Weigh what arrives on your own scale. If it is under, photograph the scale and send it to us and we replace the shortfall.
How long does shipping take?
3-5 working days on the express service, or 5-9 working days on the economy service, tracked door to door by DHL, UPS or FedEx. Prices are ex-works, so freight is quoted separately to your exact city by weight, not estimated from a zone chart.
What if the order does not match what you described?
Send us the photos and send it back. We pay the return freight and either replace it or refund it. We would rather lose one sample order than have you sell something you do not trust to your own clients.
Do you supply paperwork for customs?
Yes: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, and phytosanitary or fumigation documents where your customs authority requires them. Tell us the destination country with your quote request and we list exactly what your shipment needs.

Curly Bulk Human Hair for Braiding - Wholesale from Vietnam

Curly bulk hair starts quoted on request, factory-direct from Vietnam. Minimum order is 500g. This page tells you something most raw curly hair vendors will not: whether the curl you are buying grew that way, or was set in a factory. That difference changes what you pay, and it changes how the hair behaves after the first wash. Full pricing by order volume is further down this page.
This page covers curly bulk hair specifically. For straight, wet-and-wavy, and afro kinky bulk textures, see the full Bulk Human Hair for Braiding collection.
What Is Curly Bulk Hair?
Curly bulk hair is loose human hair with a defined curl pattern. It is supplied without a weft and sold by weight - that is what separates it from our wefted raw human hair bundles. Braiders and stylists use bulk hair for boho braids, curly ends on knotless braids, crochet installs, and curly ponytails.
Unlike afro kinky, which is a dense coil built to grip, curly bulk hair holds a visible spiral. That spiral is what clients are paying for. It is also the hardest property to preserve. Most of this page is about how well the curl holds, not just how it looks in the bag.
Natural Curl vs Steam-Set Curl: What Are You Actually Buying?

“Vietnamese curly hair” comes from two completely different sources. Most listings never tell you which one is in the box. Here is the difference - and why it changes both the price and what your clients get.
Natural curl - the curl grew that way
Some Vietnamese and Cambodian donors have a naturally wavy or curly pattern. On these strands, the cuticle layer - the hair’s outer layer, which is what holds a curl in place - does not lie in one uniform direction. It sits in an uneven pattern set by the donor’s own DNA, and that unevenness is what creates the curl. Nothing is added and nothing is reshaped - the hair is cut from the donor already curled.
- It holds its pattern through washing, the way your client’s own curly hair does.
- It has more natural body and movement than a set curl.
- Supply is limited. Only a small share of donors have this texture, so lead times are longer and the price is higher.
- It is very hard to tell apart from a well-made steam curl by eye. That is exactly why you should ask your supplier which one they are selling you.
Steam-set curl - straight hair reshaped into a curl
Most Vietnamese donor hair grows straight, while demand for Vietnamese curly hair is high. That gap is why most of the “Vietnamese curly” hair on the market today is steam-set rather than naturally curly.
Steam-setting reshapes the cuticle layer of straight hair into a curl. A softening agent goes on first, followed by controlled steam heat. Because the process uses steam rather than dry heat, the strand keeps its moisture and finishes soft and glossy. It still looks and behaves like human hair, because it is human hair.
- You can order almost any curl pattern, in the length and colour you want.
- Supply is steady, so you are not waiting on a rare donor texture.
- The price is more competitive. That is why most wholesale curly bulk hair buyers stock it.
- The pattern is set into the hair rather than grown into it, so it needs more care to hold through repeated washing.
Which one does Govihair sell?
We supply both, and we tell you which one you are getting before you pay. If a supplier cannot answer that question about their own stock, that itself is your answer.
That gap is one of the fastest ways to separate a real factory from raw curly hair vendors who are simply reselling someone else’s catalog.

Curly Bulk Hair Pricing: Steam-Set vs Natural Curl
All prices are per 100g, factory-direct, for natural black. Both figures in each row are standard Double Drawn quality. The range reflects the grade surcharge below, not a “basic vs. double-drawn” split - order Double Drawn as-is at the lower figure, or add Luxury quality (+quoted on request) for thicker, more uniform ends, priced toward the higher figure.
Standard orders (from 1kg):
Wholesale pricing is quoted on request, per specification and destination. Price moves with length, grade, texture and the volume you commit to, so we quote against your actual spec rather than publishing a rate card. Colour work and texturing are priced as add-ons. Minimum order is 500 g.
VIP orders (from 5kg) - lower per-100g rate at volume:
Wholesale pricing is quoted on request, per specification and destination. Price moves with length, grade, texture and the volume you commit to, so we quote against your actual spec rather than publishing a rate card. Colour work and texturing are priced as add-ons. Minimum order is 500 g.
Because 500g falls under the 1kg threshold, a quoted on request-per-100g surcharge applies at MOQ. Ordering a full 1kg or more removes it. Colour and lengths above 24 inches are quoted separately.
MOQ is 500g. Pricing steps down twice: once at 1kg, and again at 5kg VIP orders.
Natural curl pricing
Natural curl is quoted per order rather than listed at a fixed price. That is not us holding the number back. It is because natural curl depends on how many donors with that texture we have sorted that month, not on how much we can produce. Tell us the length and weight you need. We will confirm current availability and the exact premium before you commit.
Request your tier quote - tell us your curl pattern, length and total weight, and we’ll send your exact price within one working day.
How Is Curly Hair Made in the Factory?
This is the steam-setting process, step by step, on our own production floor in Da Nang:
- Wash the sorted raw material and remove any remaining impurities.
- Apply a softening treatment so the cuticle can be reshaped.
- Set the shape by hand, using forming tools. This step is 100% manual - no machine does it.
- Steam at 70-80°C for one to two hours to lock the pattern in.
- Rinse again and inspect the curl bundle by bundle before packing.
What that process does and does not involve
The raw hair itself is never chemically treated before curling. It arrives at the factory as collected. The curl-forming step is different: every curl pattern is set using a softening agent, followed by controlled steam heat.
Softer, looser patterns need only a light treatment. Tighter patterns, such as pixie curly or kinky straight, need a stronger chemical step, because steam alone cannot hold a curl that tight on human hair.
Ask our team which process applies to the pattern you are ordering. We would rather tell you now than have you discover it after the first wash.
Can Bleached Hair Hold a Curl?
Not as well - and you should know that before you order bleached curly bulk hair.
Bleaching lifts and damages the cuticle layer. The curl pattern in steam-set hair is held by that same cuticle layer. Once it has been stripped, the hair has less structure to hold its shape. The curl loosens faster, and it does not always come back fully after washing.
This is not a Govihair problem. It is a property of human hair, and it applies to every supplier. What differs is whether they tell you.
A thicker, higher-grade tier generally holds bleach and curl longer than a lower tier does, so clients come back sooner and the reorder margin holds. If your client needs both a light colour and long-lasting curl, order Raw Type 1 material. Keep the target shade darker than the lightest, most heavily bleached tiers where possible (the #60-and-above “white colour” range).
Set expectations that a curl at those lighter shades will need reviving more often than a dark-tone bundle would.
Why the Curl Varies Between Batches
Curl pattern is not identical from one production batch to the next. Any supplier telling you otherwise has not made this product in large volumes.
Three things cause the variation. The shaping step is done entirely by hand, so there is natural human variance. The humidity in the air during setting and drying affects how tightly the pattern locks. And time in storage relaxes a set curl slightly.
A modest difference in tightness between batches is normal. It is not a defect. A pattern that is visibly a different curl type from what you approved on video is a defect, and we will replace it. If you are reordering to match an existing install, tell us. We will note the original batch and match as closely as the process allows.
Opening Your Shipment and Reviving the Curl
Curly hair cannot be pressed flat and vacuum-packed the way straight hair can, without ruining the pattern, so we pack it loosely. It still arrives flatter than it left, and that is expected.
- Separate the bundles by hand. Do not brush or comb dry curly hair - it will pull the pattern out.
- Mist with cool water, or rinse with cool water and a little sulphate-free conditioner.
- Scrunch gently upward with your hands to encourage the pattern back.
- Let it air dry completely. Do not apply direct heat to revive curl - heat is what costs you the pattern permanently.
The curl should come back within one cycle of this. If it does not, stop and send us photos before installing.
How to Test the Curl When Your Order Arrives
You do not have to take our word for how the curl performs. Here is how to check it yourself, on a small section, before you commit the whole order to an install.
- Take one bundle and separate a small test section.
- Wash it with cool water and a sulphate-free shampoo - the same way your client would wash it.
- Let it air dry completely without heat and without brushing. Give it the full drying time; a half-dry curl tells you nothing.
- Compare the dried section against the rest of the bundle and against the video you approved.
What you are looking for: the pattern should still look like the same curl type, with some loosening. Heavy loosening on a bundle that was not bleached is worth raising with us. A completely dropped pattern is not normal.
Very few suppliers will tell you how to test their own product. We would rather you find a problem on one test section than on forty heads.
Five Questions to Ask Any Curly Hair Supplier
Whether you buy from us or not, these are the questions that separate a factory from a reseller. Every one of them is answered on this page.
- Is this natural curl or steam-set curl?
- If it is steam-set, what process is used, and at what temperature?
- What material tier is it, and how light can that tier safely be taken?
- Has the hair been bleached before the curl was set?
- Will I see a video of my actual order before I pay the balance?
A supplier who cannot answer these about their own stock is buying it from someone else and passing it on. That is not automatically a reason to walk away - but among curly hair resellers, it is a reason to know exactly what you are paying for.
Minimum Order, Lead Time and Shipping

The minimum order is 500g, about five bundles. You can mix lengths and curl patterns within it - it does not have to be one single length or pattern. Pricing steps down at 500g, 1kg and 3kg.
In-stock lengths ship two to three days after production, plus roughly three to five days transit to the US. Custom curl patterns, and lengths above 26 inches, take about five to seven days to produce. Natural curl lead time depends on current donor availability and is confirmed per order.
Freight is quoted to your exact city by weight. Express runs 3-5 working days and the economy service 5-9 working days, tracked door to door by DHL, UPS or FedEx.Bulk Human Hair for Braiding page.
How Do We Verify Your Order Before Payment?

Before dispatch, we film your actual order - the real bundles, not a stock video - showing length, weight, curl pattern and colour. We send it to you for approval. The balance is due only after you confirm.
Returns and Replacements
Returns and replacements follow the same policy across every Govihair bulk texture - see the full return policy on our Bulk Human Hair for Braiding page.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between natural curly and steam curly hair?
Natural curl grew that way on the donor. It comes from an irregular cuticle arrangement set by their DNA. Steam curl is straight hair reshaped with a softening agent and controlled steam. Natural curl holds better through washing but is scarce and costs more. Steam curl is available in any pattern and is what most wholesale curly bulk hair buyers stock.
How is curly hair made in the factory?
Wash the raw material, apply a softening treatment, shape by hand using forming tools, steam at 70-80°C for one to two hours, then rinse and inspect. The shaping step is entirely manual.
Can bleached hair hold a curl?
Less well. Bleaching damages the cuticle layer that holds the curl pattern, so the curl loosens faster and may not fully return after washing. This applies to every supplier, not just to us.
What is curly bulk hair?
Loose human hair with a defined curl pattern, supplied without a weft and sold by weight. It is used for boho braiding hair styles, curly ends, crochet installs and curly ponytails.
How much does curly bulk hair cost?
Steam-set curly starts quoted on request at 16 inch on 5kg VIP orders, or quoted on request at standard 1kg orders, and runs up to quoted on request at 24 inch double-drawn plus Luxury. Natural curl is quoted per order based on availability.
What is the minimum order quantity?
500g, approximately five bundles, and you can mix lengths and curl patterns within it. Pricing steps down at 500g, 1kg and 3kg, then again at 5kg VIP volumes.
How much is shipping to the US?
From quoted on request for 0.5kg. Rates include fuel surcharges but exclude peak-season surcharges and import duty. The full rate table is on our bulk braiding hair page.
