Tommy Huynh – CEO, Govihair
Tommy Huynh (Huỳnh Giới) is the founder and CEO of Govihair, a factory-direct Vietnamese hair supplier based in Da Nang. He has worked in the Vietnamese hair trade since 2016 — and before that, his family collected and cut hair directly from donors.
Today he runs Govihair’s factory and office in Da Nang and a US warehouse in Garland, Texas, supplying salons, distributors and wig brands in Europe, the United States, Africa and Latin America.
Most of his week is spent where the hair is made: on the factory floor, checking batches, and at the office, talking to buyers on video calls and in person.
His aim is simple: hair that is exactly what the buyer paid for — the right grade, the right length, the right weight.
From Collecting and Cutting Hair to Running a Factory
Tommy’s family worked in the hair trade long before Govihair existed. They collected hair from donors across Vietnam and cut it themselves, one ponytail at a time.
That is where Tommy learned what real hair feels like — how a single-donor ponytail holds together, how it was cut, and how it should behave after washing. It is still how he judges hair today.
In 2016 he founded Govihair to take that hair further: from raw material to finished bundles, wefts, closures, wigs and extensions, made in Da Nang and sold directly to wholesale buyers abroad.

On the Factory Floor
Most of Tommy’s week is spent at the factory at 292 Phu Dong Street, Hoa Xuan Ward, Da Nang — a 25,000 m² site with a team of 100.
He walks the production line, talks to the workers at each station, checks raw batches before they are sorted, and looks at finished bundles before they are packed. Every order is weighed on camera before it ships.
Buyers are welcome to visit in person or book a live video call to see the production line and their own order.
At the Office: Where Buyers and the Team Meet
The head office is in the Ricco Building, 363 Nguyen Huu Tho Street, Cam Le, Da Nang. It is a busy, open space: the sales team talks to buyers all day on WhatsApp and video calls, and customers who visit Da Nang often stop here first.
Tommy works alongside the team, approves quotes and custom orders, and joins calls when buyers want to speak to him directly. Many long-term customers started with a video call from this office and later came to see the factory themselves.
Creating Value for Customers, the Team and Vietnamese Hair

For customers
Hair they can sell with confidence — the right grade, the right length, the right weight, at a fair factory price.

For the team
Stable work and a fair income for the 100 people in Da Nang who make every order.

For Vietnamese hair
Vietnamese hair is among the best in the world. Every product is made in Vietnam, and Tommy wants that label to be recognised and trusted by buyers everywhere.
Meeting Customers: Feedback Keeps Him Going
The best part of Tommy’s day is a message from a customer who reordered because their own clients came back. Buyers from around the world visit Govihair to see the hair for themselves — at the factory, where they check the bundles in their own hands, and at the office in Da Nang, where they meet the team they talk to every day.
He also meets buyers and suppliers at trade fairs — most recently at the 16th China Hair Expo in 2026.
Looking Ahead

A UK warehouse
Opening soon, alongside the US warehouse in Garland, Texas, to shorten delivery for European buyers.

Direct from the maker
More salons and distributors buying Vietnamese hair directly from the people who make it — clear grade, fair price, nothing hidden.

Made in Vietnam
A Vietnamese brand that buyers around the world recognise for consistent, honest quality.
Knowing Hair from Donor to Buyer
Years of handling hair from the donor’s ponytail to the finished bundle — and talking to buyers in different markets every day — shape how Tommy advises customers.

Donor and draw
Single-donor or mixed, and how much of the bundle really reaches the stated length.

Cuticle direction
Every strand root-to-tip, so the hair doesn’t tangle after a few washes.

Bleach response
Whether a batch lifts evenly to #613 before it is promised to a colorist.

What each market needs
A salon in Europe, a braiding shop in Africa and a wig brand in the US need different grades. Tommy recommends the right one, not the most expensive one.
